Hardin's Creek Clermont Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 110 Proof
Hardin’s Creek Clermont Straight Bourbon Whiskey (110 Proof) is a limited-edition, ultra-aged release from the Hardin’s Creek Kentucky Series, designed to explore how different aging environments shape the same whiskey over time. This expression represents the Clermont campus, the historic home of the Beam distillery, where specific warehouse conditions influence the whiskey’s development.
Aged for approximately 17 years and bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV), it is part of a controlled experiment in which barrels from the same distillation were aged in different Kentucky locations. The Clermont version reflects the site’s unique climate and airflow, resulting in a distinct and expressive profile.
Matured in new, charred American oak barrels, the whiskey develops a deeply integrated structure where oak, sweetness, and spice are balanced. Despite its extended aging, it avoids excessive dryness, maintaining a refined and composed character.
The profile leans into rich notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, layered with baking spices, dark fruit, and chocolate. Additional complexity emerges through hints of leather, roasted nuts, and tobacco, while a subtle sweetness keeps the profile cohesive.
The texture is full-bodied and slightly viscous, delivering a bold yet controlled experience. The finish is long, warm, and structured, with lingering oak, spice, and a polished sweetness.
Produced in limited quantities, the Clermont release stands as a sophisticated and concept-driven bourbon, offering insight into how location and environment can influence the evolution of whiskey over extended aging.
